Dear Anon,
In my opinion, it is difficult to pin-point your actual problem.
The rationale here has to do with the concept of " Quantum Leap " in Feng Shui.
For example, you may have inadvertenly chosen an "average house".
One key ingredient of an average house is that its `wealth retention' is not fantastic if compared to e.g. houses with " Quantum Leap " in Feng Shui.
Houses with quantum leap have specific characteristics:-
1. Excellent location (not just the land on which it sits but the site or surrounding site).
Here, good shapes and form prevail.
2. It uses the concept known as `receiving wealth'.
For example, imagine two hands clasp together to "receive wealth". Many of the houses with quantum leap in Feng Shui have such characteristics.
Either:
1. it is e.g. in a nice basin where if we put our two hands together, it receives wealth or able to retain it. Such landform have houses that are in this basin. And it is able to create wealth.
Good examples are the private esates along Yio Chu Kang road where the houses are not "spectacular" or noticeable where to get to the place, the road usually slope down.
Even, estates like `Opera estate' in the East coast is in a basin configuration.
Contrast this to public housing where, many of the apartments sit on an artificial hill or raised land area. Imagine, the difficulty in retaining wealth.
Apologies, if I had gone off track abit, but this is to highlight the `expectations' e.g. in a house.
If the house is an avearge house and coupled by the fact that it may or may not be as suitable for the owner, would mean that even if Feng Shui is applied, the return is marginal. I.e. there may not be a `miracle cure' or quantum leap in Feng Shui luck.
But rather, such houses are best or most effective if there are problems related to health or misfortunes.
I am not pulling your hopes but, I have to be honest and realistic on this aspect. My aim here is that one may have to be weary especially if one approaches a FS consultant who may promise the world but could not deliver.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
