Dear Beth,
I have already replied you with my analysis and other comments in an email.
Briefly, the layout has three major flaws: (two with known cures the third - pseudo cure.. only)
1. staircase to upper floor can be seen directly from the main entrance door. As the distance is too close to the stairs, it would be difficult to use a door screen. I am not sure, if bead curtains are currently in fashion. This is one cure thou.
Another thing is that staircase must have a turn instead of leading straight upwards to the second floor.
2. Toilet at the centre of the house (ground floor)... this is a fundamental flaw.. and implies money flowing away... Very difficult or really no known `good' cure. The only known cures are really pseudo cure akin to taking a sugar pill. It provides some level of psychological `comfort' only.
3. Toilet (2nd floor) is above the dining table.
Frankly, if I were you, do look for another home with a better layout plan.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil

User's Comments I would like to offer compliments. you have a great web site offering excellent content. its focused and comprehensive and distinguished in the field. In the English speaking world, your services are one of the best I have seen. I understand you are offering a commercial service, concurrently you also make available informative services to a very large audience, which is excellent. I feel saddened that there are those western modern stylists who claim to practice fengshui. browsing the on-line sites of these con-artists, they are mere fronts for hawking goods at crazy prices. I am only curious of how to drive these bad elements out, as they are degrading a very well practiced tradition and cultural asset. Best Regards, Scott Chen 8 November 2003 |
